The communication module is installed under the terminal cover of MCS301 meter. Modules have Plug-n-Play technology, have a specific design and can work only together with MCS301 Smart meters manufactured by MetCom.
 

The interface between the meter and the communication module provides the following characteristic functions:

• powering the module from the meter

• transparent communication using the DLMS/COSEM or EN62056-21 protocol
